There are over 150 pupils within the department with numbers increasing every year and several classes with waiting lists.
The department also has 3 classroom assistants and 6 ancillary staff.
Department Aims:
The aim of the department is to ensure that every child receives a broad, balanced education, while acquiring the knowledge, skills and understanding to meet the challenges of secondary education. Each pupil's self esteem is to be developed through classroom and extra-curricular activities.

Curriculum Subjects:
From the earliest stages, great emphasis is based on building up positive attitudes towards the 3 main curricular subjects of English, Mathematics and Science and establishing the foundation necessary for later success. Traditional and modern methods are integrated to give the pupils the best possible opportunity to fulfil their potential in all areas of the curriculum.

Extra-Curricular Subjects:
As well as offering academic subjects the children are able to enjoy a wide range of extra-curricular activities which include :- Mini Rugby, Mini Hockey, Tennis, Badminton, Cricket, Football, Chess, Cycling Proficiency, French, Art, Drama and S.U.P.A. Club - Scripture Union Primary Age bible club.
